Me and painting
It all started when I was given a set of watercolour paints when I was 10 years old. I drew and painted incessantly from that point.
I have always been fascinated by the built environment and loved looking at and drawing what was left of the industrial revolution in Wolverhampton, where I grew up and somehow ended up studying architecture at St. John’s College, Cambridge.
For a long time my day job got in the way of painting and I spent a lot of time doodling ferociously on conference calls while my painting was crammed into weekends and evenings but, over the last few years, I have dedicated a lot more time to painting. My work is predominantly watercolour. I love its ethereal quality which creates a feeling of fluidity and movement and of the passing on time. Have a look and let me know what you think!
